Vito Racanelli, Jr. Those of you familiar with my name know that I am serious about food. Food has been my life since I was a little boy. My parents are from Italy & I was very lucky to grow-up around traditional, homemade Italian food for “real” people. I do like to take some of those traditions & twist them up a bit, but my overall passion is to cook with fresh ingredients and with the love for food.
As a native New Yorker, and culinary graduate of Johnson & Whales University in Rhode Island, I have been lucky to travel, taste and learn about all sorts of cuisines from around the world.

Chef Vito has been cooking for almost 20 years, and has received much press & media coverage for some of his most treasured dishes and restaurants. He has worked in the large, 5 stars & 5 diamond Hotel’s in Manhattan at the La Paker-Meridean in Mid-town Manhattan to our very own Chase Park Plaza where he was the chosen Chef for the annual Chaine Des Rotisseurs Dinner. He has also cooked in the most intimate of restaurants and now, in private homes or top venues around St. Louis.

He took 3rd Place in the 2007 Taste of St. Louis Culinary Competition & also has Award-Winning BBQ sauce from the local Smoke-n-Fire Competition.

Amongst other things his passion, fun, kind-hearted attitude make his clients want him back for more!! I would just like to say, “I love food, it is my life, it is my soul”
